Purpose

The main purpose of "Hit The Ice" is to have fun and talk hockey. In addition, I look to hone my skills as a writer. For the record, the last time I played organized hockey was fourth grade. So I am lacking that "player mentality" that others possess. I acknowledge that and hope those who read what I have to say understand. With this blog, I hope to learn the game of hockey more and expand my knowledge of the greatest sport on earth.

In addition, I will provide stories on sports, music, and life in general. I love to write and now have the ability to post anything I wish to say here!

Today's media is so crazy and are much to rash to get a story out first without fact checking. I look to provide solid articles on facts and stay humble in the process. I will always make sure to cite my sources and or provide a link to where I found my information.  In my writing and life I do my best to stay genuine and true to myself while being respectful and kind to others.

I also hope to one day work in sports and this blog could help me in the future.
If no one ever reads this blog but me, I can live with that. On the other hand, if this is the start of a career in sports for me, well that'd be pretty cool wouldn't it?
